Henderson Family Award for the Study of Slavery

The Henderson Family Award for the Study of Slavery is a scholarship sponsored by Harold and Franzine Henderson for Michigan State University undergraduate and graduate students interested in the study of slavery. Through this generous award, students have the opportunity to research and create a dataset centered on enslaved Africans or individuals of African descent with the aid of project leadership at Enslaved.org, along with a possible invitation to publish in the Journal of Slavery and Data Preservation (jsdp.enslaved.org).
